MMG affiliate, Omarion, announced the third part of his Care Package series with "Game Over," featuring BJ the Chicago Kid, and the full release includes seven additional tracks as well as features from Problem, Kehlani, and Rich Homie Quan.
The tracks overall have some farely good production, however, where it lacks is the features somtimes fall flat. Omarion's vocals are effective with auto-tune but some of the artist features can't compare to him vocally which at times makes it hard to comprehend what some of the artist are saying like in "Beat" featuring Problem. Problem just doesn't compliment Omarion's vocal style and when he comes in rapping on the track, things seem off at least from a vocal perspective.
Also, there at times on this track that you don't know when one track ends and when the other begins. They seem all to merge together but not seamlessly which makes it hard to know what song you are on the tracklist. Although, this is another pitfall, Omarion does have some impressive beats and vocals on here that make for an enjoyable track like in "Whip it" and "Lit" but they are not enough to satisfy the listener for the whole duration of the mixtape.
Overall, the tape is descent but not good enough for multiple listens. A couple of tracks on this mixtape are forgettable. I understand he is preparing for his Reasons album which is suppose to be dropping in early 2016. And he is just essentially giving his fans an appetizer but this mixtape may not be enough to expect great things for his upcoming album. Hopefully, Omarion has some impressive hits in his back pocket for his upcoming album and maybe the album will be just as good or even better than Sex Playlist.
